Turn it up and see
This show deserves much more love than it has gotten. As with most of the audience recordings from the larger arenas, things sound distant and dull played at low volume. But as you turn it up, all the various sounds coming out of those giant speaker stacks come into play. On the other hand, if you turn some of the soundboards too much things get shrill pretty quick. (Perhaps one of the experienced tapers can explain the dynamics of this) At any rate this show is upbeat, punchy, tight and sounds great played outdoors loud on a summer day.

Still Awesome
This was my first show and I still have the tape I acquired in '82 of this show. It wasn' until many shows later that I could appreciate the quality of this show. Combining this material with the 5/6 show release would have painted a great picture of the dead in '81 - before Bobbyy's "HAAH!" years. It rates a 4 with a little eq'ing.

sweet and sleepy
Such a lovely show. Jerry in shining form, pouring out everything from the very start of half step. The show is effortless and brimming with energy. The recording is good considering how bad nassau typically sounds. As far as 81's setlists and performance, you're hard pressed to top this.
